Just finished watching it for a second time. It's a lot more episodic than the later episodes, so it's really weird going from a big episode like Jet to something totally irrelevant like The Great Divide. It's also weird not having Toph in the picture. You just get so used to her just being there that it feels like something's missing in the episodes that come before her introduction. I guess that's the mark of a good character, though.

Knowing what happens next doesn't really add anything much to it, in my opinion, but Zuko does seem a lot less like a villain when you know what he's gone through and who he has to deal with, but it's not like the first season made that a secret.

Just saying.

I never really bought Zuko as a villain in the first place to be honest, and don't think he was ever really presented that way.

What I mean is you were always intended to sorta be able to understand the guy, I think.
