Oops. I thought you had a meaning for that.

They aren't bad (well, one of them is outrageously awful, but the other two are decent), but compared to the main route, there's just no comparison. Their existence just drags the VN down in my rankings.

The side routes were probably written close to the deadline and are of noticeably lower quality. The Tech Gian's summary of G sen had a dramatically different plot like a year before the game was released so they probably got lower priority in the rush to get it out. Read them if you like the characters involved in them, but don't read them because "you like being a completionist" Chances are they'll be the painful twinge at the back of your mind when you think about it later.

I've only gotten two so far, one was serious, the other seemed kinda phoned in. Do whatever you want though.

I'm a fairly serious writer so I can't say I'll be favoring you in my decisions if your always cracking stupid jokes but one or two here or there won't hurt and I'm not gonna hold something against someone for their character creation.

Yours wasn't the phoned in one Raka. It was short sweet and to the point. And exactly the kind of thing I was looking for. I don't need huge amounts of detail, you'll all be writing your own dialogue for the characters and making their decisions, I'll be reacting and forming the story around that. I don't need to know a whole lot about your characters yet.

If you don't feel comfortable handing out CONFIDENTIAL INFORMATION that's fine, but I really like seeing servant ideas.

I see, I'm sorry. Jeff started the thing calling it an interactive story, which I thought was the same thing as Roleplay. It was more like I was looking for a new writing challenge in which I was trying to write with other people... I suppose, geez I don't know what to do with this anymore. Well if enough people still want to play I suppose I can write everyone, but it'll be tougher and take longer since they aren't my characters.

For the next 5 days I may be forced to leave the organization of this to Jeff and have him communicate with me. Sorry I work at a theatre, we have a huge gig booked and my co-worker was in a car accident so I'm going it solo. I can still respond on my breaks to e-mails, if I use my phone. Sorry about the short notice, I just found out that they wanted 14 hour days... so yeah.

Bottom line is, I'm still hoping to continue this but due to my job it'll be a bit slower this week. I have the rest of summer off after the 15th so I hope to seriously pick it up then.

Alright, tentative ruleset time.

OK, the basic set-up for this is that the Holy Grail War will be held in an unnamed and fictional city about the size of the city in fate/stay night. This city is going to be in Japan.
There are 8 areas to the city.
Park
School
Library
Downtown
Business district
Shrine
Church
Residential area
Your home base will more or less be where you're staying, in other words some will be in a hotel in the business district, while others will be in the residential district, careful when scouting these two areas, you never know who might be watching.
Days within the stories will be spent researching. The Holy Grail war is a battle that must happen in the shadows of day or the dead of night. During the days you can go to the library or school to look up weaknesses of your servant or look up clues you may have discovered from other servants (This will take the form of direct contact with me, if you have enough clues then I'll provide you with some information on the opponent. The servants in this battle may not be perfectly like any particular legend or historical figure, so any research done in game will give you info on our versions of them).
Visiting the church or shrine may give you guidance as to what to do to avoid losing the war, but no promises are made ( for this I'll be using a random number generator to determine the quality of information you receive, be careful though, there's always a chance the priest was mistaken and you end up walking right into an ambush by listening to him). Otherwise, you're free to scout out areas, prepare traps etc.
Nighttime is when the fun begins. Night is when the servants do battle, there are a few things to determine. First of all, decide whether the master is with the servant or whether the servant is acting autonomously for the night. Second decide the area that they will be exploring (Two areas if master and servant are separate, but be wary of danger, since a master doesn't stand any chance against a servant). If two groups are exploring the same area, a battle will commence. I will control a large portion of the battles, which will be held in the public sector, but the choices the masters and servants make for the battle will be held in the private sector and hold huge weight as to who wins. I'll leave openings for decisions to be made and I'll announce who's making the decision (EG. in a battle between Saber and Archer I could announce that Saber needs to come up with something, Archer's master needs to make a decision etc.). None of the decisions will be a pre-set list of choices so think carefully. If you don't make a decision by the next day (You'll have until later afternoon) Then I'm gonna pretend you said that you'll stand there and see what happens. If noble phantasms, command seals or other abilities are used, then a blank area will appear within the battle in the public sector and I will PM any names said, command seals used (Information on the Noble Phantasm and number of command seals a person has are extremely valuable after all) to anyone participating in the fight and anyone who may have been watching the fight.
