I bought it a few weeks ago. So far I've grabbed the following software:
Super Mario 3D Land Tales of the Abyss 3D Kid Icarus Uprising Star Fox 64 3D (won it on an eBay auction just now)
And the following eShop stuff:
The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening DX Kirby's Adventure Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins
I also snagged Pokedex 3D, if that counts. Anyway, I like JRPGs, WRPGs (of course, finding one on the 3DS...), platformers, action games and that's about it, really. Those are my main thrusts, anyway. So yeah, now that you know about Jeff Zero thrusting, what would you recommend?
From: ninkendo | #003 Resident Evil: Revelations Thank you, SHINE! However, I have very little experience with Resident Evil. But I'm looking to change a lot of things going forward in life. So if you think that's good, I'll grab it.
I thought that was the one people said sucked because it was made by a foreign developer who didn't know what they were doing, though?
From: StifledSilence | #004 Regular games: Pokemon Rumble Blast Mario Kart 7
On the eshop: Adventure Island Super Mario Land Game and Watch Gallery 1+2 Mighty Switch Force Mutant Mudds VVVVVV Pushmo Whew, this will keep me busy for some time! Awesome, thanks man. Rumble Blast is actually OK, huh? I heard iffy things!
From: TheArkOfTurus | #005 If JRPGs includes SRPGs, and you don't have the original (or maybe if you do), check out Devil Survivor Overclocked. Oh, they absolutely include SRPGs. I've played Devil Survivor on the DS, though. Own it, I do! Overclocked does look good, though...
Overclocked adds some stuff the original lacks. Adds voice acting, some new demons I think and an extra day to the storyline. If you have any interest in it you might want to get it because it price jumps all over the place. It's only $30 on Amazon now, but just a little bit ago it was going for $55 or more.
I played the Mario Kart for DS. That was my last exposure to the series. Any notable improvements I should keep an eye toward? It certainly looks impressive!
Yeah, it's possible it could have gotten a reprint and that's why it's $30 now. If it did I'm unaware of it. Radiant Historia had it worse than DS Overclocked though. That game was going for over a $100 until the recent reprint.
Yeah Mario Kart 7 and maybe we can restart the b8 group.
Resident Evil Revelations as your first entry sounds kind of weird. It is a fantastic game in its own right, and there are certainly worse places to start, but you know.

That game was going for over a $100 until the recent reprint. Yeah, my friend sold a spare copy of Radiant Historia for like $88 fairly recently, then the reprint happened. He made off like a bandit there. Geez. Atlus is amazing, and this isn't a surprising order of events given the limited releases. But it still surprises me sometimes.

If you like beat em' up games and Pokemon, Rumble Blast is a fantastic buy. It has every single Pokemon to "befriend" (their word for beating the piss out of them and getting them to join you XD) except the three unreleased legendaries. It has regular levels to go through as well as Royal Rumbles where your goal is to be the last survivor, and other fun things. I couldn't recommend it more.

Have you played Devil Survivor 2 yet? If not, I'd recommend that over Overclocked just because it's an entirely new experience. Having just played DS2 is the reason why I don't particularly want to get Overclocked yet once I get my 3DS.

The online mode is so much better. It has full online races with 8 people instead of the four person stuff in Mario Kart DS. And no one can quit and screw you out of points this time. Your rank changes after every individual race.

Thanks, I'll buy it. I have some money leftover in my eShop thing, anyway.

I really should make a 'what should I get on DS' topic, too, or something. Haha.

Do pick up Gargoyle's Quest. It's a fine take on platforming which eventually led to the excellent Demon's Crest on the SNES. By itself, it's challenging and quite fun.
From: Emporer_Kazbar | #038 MGS3D I dunno man, I picked up the HD Collection already. You really think MGS3D is worth it on top of that?

Well, I collect every MGS product that comes on the market, so if you're like me, yes. Plus the graphics/gameplay are really good and improved, even compared to the HD version.
