For me I can only think of both the original Alien, and Cloverfield. The Creatures that ended being behind everything in those two movies really blew my mind and they were even better than i had expected. I hope Prometheus does the same

Alien really?!? I guess maybe if you saw it in the 70's...but that cheap rubber suit is pretty laughable today, same with that little puppet monster, I was in hysterics when I saw that in the 2000's, to me, it's probably the most overrated horror movie of all time.
