You play the guitar a lot and your fingers get callouses. Now replace "the guitar" with "tennis" and it's the same. -- Congratulations to Rafael Nadal on a Career Golden Slam. - The Mana Sword ... Copied to Clipboard!

Is it? You play the guitar a lot and your fingers get callouses. Now replace "the guitar" with "tennis" and it's the same. Except callouses on your fingers take an active part in your playing because someone with callouses is physically able to play better than someone without. It's a pretty common thing among players to consider you to have earned your callouses after constant playing. -- Joyrock Fresh from my first justified ban. Ever! ... Copied to Clipboard!

But do they help you swing better, or simply make it more tolerable to do so? Callouses do not make you play guitar better. They just make it more tolerable to do so. Take it from someone who doesn't go through monthly "callous-forming" due to not playing for so long -.- -- ~~~~~~don't worry~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~be happy~~~~~~ ... Copied to Clipboard!
