it wasn't that good

mostly it was me running in with Dryads and Bears, being mentally handicapped and not realizing that he was stealing my roars and rejuvs for a couple battles, then realizing that he couldn't shoot up and just killing him. he started building workshops and Gryph Aviarys when he first saw Chims but when someone is producing out of three Chim Roosts and you can't shoot up you're probably just dead.

chims were 3/3 too, vs his 1/1 stuff. I can see how it'd be very upsetting watching your 80 food army, three heroes, and main base with towers just melt away in a very short time period.

in any case, I am up for either game tonight if anyone wants to. if not I'll be free this weekend like everyone else.

my Warcraft 3 "micro" goes something like this:

"box all my stuff together. Ctrl + 1. right click the thing I want dead."

the only time it ever gets more involved than that is when I play DotTs or human casters. besides that I pretty much only use hero abilities.

well I guess if I'm playing UD against humans I do a lot of devouring magic but if I'm UD there's a very low chance of me winning anyway so whatever!

I like to have hero1 + main unit 1 on hotkey 1.

Then hero 1 by itself on hotkey 2.

repeat for hero2/unti2 on hotkey 3/4.

I can control everything at once, but then quickly switch to hotkeys that are heroes only.

if I ever want to be not bad at this game I should probably do something similar!

Well the thing I messed up a lot during our NE mirror was that I had my Hunts + DH hotkey that I was using but when I micro'd a low HP unit back to my base (which I did a fair few times) I would often forget to REMOVE that unit from the control group. And so it would get just outside of your base before I stupidly send it back in as I refocus the control group that it is still in. Have to remember to shiftclick it and rebind the group on it's way out.

yeah we both randomed and got NE, and we both went mass hunts because that's what you do in NE mirrors. same hero, same hunts, he got the better of our first battle. then built two glaive throwers and attacked my gold mine from low ground, forcing me to engage. that was pretty sick and unexpected. lost that one handily!

btw, anyone up for WC3 tonight?

*sigh* grad school is beating my ass. Sorry im gonna withdraw from the wc3 stuff.

More like "I take it this became a non-existant tournament because unless we get literally absolutely everyone online today and everyone plays for like 3 hours straight there's no way we'll get done today" tournament.
