90.Demon's Souls

Points Received/List Appearances: 40; 4
Developer: From Software, SCE Japan Studio
System(s): Playstation 3
Genre(s): Action RPG
Previous Rank: N/A

Another game that is noteworthy for being quite hard, mostly for not being able to save in the middle of levels. If constant frustration is something you can't handle, this may not be the game for you.

Nevertheless, even though this game is hard there are many people who love this game.

There are a whole bunch of classes to choose from, and there a bunch of ways you can customize the appearance of your character. All the action is real-time.

I'm not sure if the server for this game is still up, but there is the option to play with other people online.

89.Sonic the Hedgehog 2
external image
Points Received/List Appearances: 40; 6
Developer: Sonic Team, Sega Technical Institute
System(s): Sega Mega Drive/Genesis, PS2, Nintendo GameCube, Nintendo DS, Xbox, Mobile, Mac OS X, Microsoft Windows, Virtual Console, Xbox Live Arcade, PlayStation Network, iOS
Genre(s): 2D Platformer
Previous Rank: 94st (List 8)

The second-best selling game on the Sega Genesis at over 6 million copies sold. That says a whole lot right there.

The original Sonic games are praised for their mix of speed and platforming, and Sonic 2 executes this mix quite well.

The addition of the Spin Dash move, Tails as a 2nd player option, and 2 acts as opposed to 3 with more zones were all very welcome changes to the already well-liked Sonic the Hedgehog original.

88.Vagrant Story
external image
Points Received/List Appearances: 41; 3
Developer: Squaresoft
System(s): PS1, PlayStation Network
Genre(s): JRPG
Previous Rank: 84th (List 5)

While Vagrant Story is a JRPG, its unique compared to others for having no shops shops and no interaction with other characters.

Instead, the game focuses on weapon creation and modification, as well as elements of puzzle-solving and strategy.

In-battle you can target different enemy body parts separately to find weaknesses and use real-time battle abilities to make attacks more effective.

87.The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening (DX)
external image
Points Received/List Appearances: 42; 3
Developer: Nintendo EAD
System(s): Game Boy, Game Boy Color, Virtual Console
Genre(s): Action-adventure
Previous Rank: 65th (List 8)

Link's Awakening is not only the first handheld Zelda game but also the first to not take place in Hyrule or have Princess Zelda or the Triforce.

Besides those, all the typical Zelda game elements are there in handheld form with its balance of action, exploration, puzzle solving, and a bit of side questing.

86.Lunar Silver Star (Story Complete/Legend/Harmony)
external image
Points Received/List Appearances: 43; 3
Developer: Game Arts, Japan Art Media, Media Rings
System(s): Sega CD, Saturn, PlayStation1, Windows, Game Boy Advance, PSP
Genre(s): JRPG
Previous Rank: 99th (List 8)

Fact: The original Lunar Silver Star was easily the highest selling SEGA CD game ever.

A story-driven RPG that is so well-loved that it has gotten remade 3 times.

If you don't mind 2D graphics, the voice acting if you preview it first and like JRPGs this may be a game worth looking into.
