For Omar, here's a little list of CD/32X notables:
32X: Only three here really worth mentioning. Knuckles Chaotix is the weakest Sonic platformer on the Genesis, but still respectable (and looks/sounds great); Virtua Fighter has a notable place in VG history as one of the first 3D fighters; and Space Harrier on the 32X is the definitive home port.
CD: Things get much more interesting here. For platformers, you've got Sega CD; for action games, an english Popful Mail and a superior version of Ecco the Dolphin (which I forgot to mention, d'oh!). Much nicer selection of RPGs and strategy games, too, including the two Lunar game, Vay, Dark Wizard (which I've played; overrated and a little clunky, but pretty okay), and Shining Force CD.
So as far as original, non-shmup titles go, here are the notables:

So... yeah, this doesn't change a whole lot. Might tip platformers in favor of the Genesis, and it makes its RPG lineup a little more respectable. It also goes from laughing at the SNES in terms of shmups to absolutely eviscerating it.
