| BlueBoy675 09/13/25 6:51:19 PM #40: | Apparently BN6 was originally not supposed to be the finale of the series, but the start of a new trilogy in a new setting. They gave MM new battle sprites, made a whole new town and cast of characters, and introduced new gameplay mechanics. It was clear 6 was trying to be a fresh start for the series, but apparently halfway through development Capcom dropped plans for BN7 in favor of SF, and 6s ending was reworked to be a grand finale. I also believe they were planning for the sequels to adapt more characters from the X series, as Colonel and Iris play a big role in 6. Maybe we would have seen Sigma.exe or Vile.exe Zero actually appears in Network Transmission on the gamecube --- Hope rides alone ... Copied to Clipboard! |
