I think this is a really well designed fight, that said I either one or two shot it lmao. But I agree it's probably supposed to be one of the harder ones. For certain one of the high points of boss design and worth comparing that to the others.

And ftr most of the fights I'm thinking of are fair but difficult. Maybe a couple of exceptions; the boss of Bilewater is one of the more difficult ones but not because of the boss itself: it's the worst runback in the game AND has a gauntlet AND adds AND a stage hazard. That one feels very unfair.
