Conductor gauntlet for one. The end of act 1 gatekeeper. technically optional as well but the game leads you there so idk how many people will actually ignore it. The final boss I don't think is hard but it is the exact type of thing people struggle with. It's Radiance 2 and I know some people didnt finish HK because of that one

But also a lot of things on the True Ending path count and I think calling that "optional" is pushing it.

Hardest boss imo is between true ending boss or First Sinner (which is optional true) but more than the difficulty itself, the thing with both of these fights is that they highly incentivize one particular playstyle above all others wanderers crest op
