There's been some good points about how this team trial stuff works. It's about scoring points, not quite about getting 1st in the race itself, though that does give points

Here's a few key areas to be aware of

1st, 2nd, 3rd - if all three of your girls get these spots, you get a bonus

All Members Place - which means top 5. 1st, 2nd, 3rd is kinda tough but you should aim for all three of your horses to be good enough to get top 5 for this one regularly. If you have a horse regularly placing outside of top 5, that should be a target for you to do career runs with to improve. (you get both this and the 1st, 2nd, 3rd together if you get both).

• Here's a bit of a trap you've fallen into by filling out your roster sadly. If you race with 2 horses, then the bonus is "1st, 2nd", and you only need both horses in top 5 to get All Members Place. So by adding a third useless horse, you actually screw yourself out of these points. You can't remove horses once a slot has been filled though, so you'll just have to improve from here

Activating a skill gives 500 points, but a golden rarity skill gives 1,200, so you want more skills that can activate, and gold skills are especially good.

Activating your Uma's unique skill also gives a lot of points - so you'll want to try to make sure the conditions for your Uma to ult will be happening (IE if they need to pass 3 people or whatever, you wouldn't want them as a front runner)

Good positioning - this means the Uma is 1st amongst their style (IE Pace Chaser etc) as mentioned earlier. So ideally you don't want to double up on the same style in a category if you can help it. Don't screw over a horse just to make this happen though if they won't be good at it or their skills don't line up for it, but you could go into the next career with a plan to build a horse that way

There's other stuff but it's hard to manipulate. Just make good Uma's with lots of skills and vary your styles in the long run and your team will get better

When you are clicking through the different categories during a team trial, you can click on the prior categories that have already run and there'll be a little i next to the score you got, you can click it and see how your Uma's did. At the end of the race there's a results page and a ranking you can click into to see all the details. I'd suggest checking that out after each team trial and keeping an eye on which Uma's are just never giving you much stats - and focus your career runs on them.

This might not always mean the lower ranked Uma's. I've had C+ rank Uma's putting up better points than B Uma's
