True. I wonder if we the public will ever get to know what was really going on. It's kinda bizarre, like, even if you have no morals, this seems like the worst money to steal. People with millions of collective viewers are gonna know it's gone missing. Like, how could you think you'd be able to get away with it? It's one thing when people skim money from the top and hope no one notices, but this is skimming money from the bottom and everyones gonna notice. Frankly surprised it didn't come to light a lot sooner.

I remember reading about another company a long time ago that managed content creators, and I can't remember the details anymore, that did something similar, they withheld payments for many months, kept telling their content creators that their money was coming and not go public about it, then one day just fired everybody and ran with the money. Obviously, the content creators went public about it but the could never get that money back. And while the news was public, as the company owners were never public figures and went into hiding to begin with it wasn't that easy for the public to go after them.

Now, Vshojo's owners haven't officially run away with the money and gone underground, yet, I'm just saying if the goal is just to gather as much money as possible before you get caught and run, it's been successfully done before.
