Ctes has beaten Sonic the Hedgehog 2

It's a great game. Most of you know. It's well ahead of the first (but below Sonic 3 & Knuckles). Instead of praising the things that work well only, I want to do a hot take and say I think that Mario vs. Sonic is the most forced gaming debate of all time, and I have always been convinced that it only happened for a few years because of people that generally preferred Sega consoles over Nintendo and because Sonic is the "cooler" of the two, which was always a matter of time because we'd prefer the better gameplay. Naturally mascots gets compared to, because you want your favorite console to have the better mascor. Don't know if people in this topic gets that, but it's like Messi vs. Ronaldo to me. Sega vs. Nintendo was for a few years a valid debate, though Sega never really managed to gets the upper hand, and as soon as Sony stepepd in, it was hammered in, Mario vs. Sonic was never. When the first Sonic came, Mario already had 3 and World out and Sonic never got anywhere near those heights. When 2 came, it was good enough that a debate was had, but depending on the day, I'm not sure I'd even put it above SMB1, which was already a spectacle.

Anyway, that was just to say something not sounding generic. It's a very fun game, just not fantastic. It's fun getting to the special stages as well, which are a challenge. The pinball stage is the most fun imo, but it's fun after you get past hold right and press jump occasionally in the beginning. I said I'd pick a great game for the halfway point and it is!
