Thanks! Inviso posted... The removal of NELs has actively made the last few seasons worse though. There's nothing more deflating than watching a team fall hopelessly behind and you KNOW they're not gonna come back and survive, so the whole episode feels like a formality. For every Carson & Jack or Steve & Anna Leigh tour de force, you get a dozen Andrea & Malainas. That's fair, I guess I look at things on the flip side of that, that the NELs feel like wasted episodes. Which I guess it's better to feel like it's wasted after having watched it vs. while you're watching it, but still. I appreciate the definitiveness of knowing there isn't a, frankly unfair, chance of luck keeping you alive. It would also grind my gears given that it felt like NELs hit teams I would've liked being eliminated wayyy more often than teams I liked. ... Copied to Clipboard! |
