Kenshin S2 ended, thought it'd be 24 episodes but only ended up being 23 so the clear finale feeling of the last episode caught me by surprise. Can't believe at the outset I thought we'd get to the proper battles, instead two cours of solid mid. Every week I'd watch and think about posting in here and just never would, just didn't have the same magic as the first season, maybe because this felt like the "eat your vegetables" setup before the real meat of the Aoiya/Ten Swords/Shishio fights. At least in the fall there was Dandadan also on Thursdays so it wasn't as bad, the winter season eps being the only currently-airing show I was watching just highlighted the mid-ness, it's left me wanting to rewatch the original series even more, damn. Well still looking forward to season 3 whenever that happens!!

If that's the bad news, here's a good news update: was talking to a co-worker and the conversation ended up with her asking me what anime I was watching and of course I had to say "Steins;Gate" and after a brief explanation she said she'd watch it. And while I was afraid she wouldn't like it (her "currently watching" were Solo Leveling and Sakomoto Days) it ended up working out, she's liking it! Through episode 18 last time I talked to her. Am debating whether to try and rope her into watching Steins;Gate 0 too or not push my luck here, lol.

Will ideally use this as a springboard to get her to watch more shows I like, gotta build up the recommendation resume before trying to get a Legend of the Galactic Heroes commitment, lol.
