It's hard for anyone to face death which is basically what he thinks will happen if he did walk through that door, let alone someone who's basically a two year old emotionally
I understand but man it is SO maddening and frustrating because instead of just him dying he's likely doomed himself AND outie Mark to dying. Everything they just did was an absolute miracle. What's to stop a couple of Lumon security personnel from going into the stairwell and forcing Gemma back inside? Isn't the stairwell still inside the Lumon building so she still has to get out of the building? and then she's just in the parking lot? There's no way she gets away, fuck I bet her being recaptured is how season 3 begins anyways, assuming the show even gets renewed which at this moment in time (and I'll probably take it back later) I hope it doesn't. Such a good episode too, damn.
