Yeah, it has ratios, and the general speed and pace of the game is a lot closer to CvS2. The only thing it has in common with Marvel 2 is that you can switch characters mid-fight and use assists, and even in those areas, you're allowed to set your own input as an assist so it ends up acting a lot different in practice.
