Just to point out what is going on here from someone with over 3000 hours in PoE 1 and understands how hardcore these games are.

The character Elon played if he did it himself would be literal no life the game playing at least 10-12 hours a day. With all the things Elon is doing beyond gaming, there is no way he is spending 10-12 hours a day since PoE 2 came out playing. I highly doubt Elon has the time to spend 10-12 hours every day playing PoE 2.

He also made a lot of errors when talking about his gear, that might sound find to a casual but to a hardcore PoE player he was massively underrating his gear that was better than guys like Kripp someone who has a ton of experience in PoE 1 had ever seen.

This was on Solo Self Found Hardcore so the person that got Elon that character and geared it up spent 100's of hours doing it. This game has only been out in Early Access for a few weeks this is not some old game that would give him time to maybe slowly get to that level. It also makes sense he would do it in SSF Hardcore since that is the most hardcore way to play the game, and you can't buy gear so people can't accuse Elon of just buying his gear from other players using his vast wealth.

Elon has the type of money that even if someone asked something outrageous like $1000 or more for a insane item it's nothing to him. So playing on SSF removes that from being fuel to use against him.

I'm not a hardcore poe player by any means, but even I could tell it was pure bullshit.

The fact alone that he had to think about how to enter a map, something he would have done thousands of times to get to that level, alone is proof of that.

The claim about being the top D4 player is also ridiculous, as there are zero leaderboard in that game.

Sure, there are player built websites that keep track of pit clears, but that doesn't tell the whole picture as they can only keep track of clears done on the pc version
