It's an ASUS ROG Zephyrus GX703HS-KF075T. Bought it in August 2022 so annoyingly not too far gone from the 2 year warranty.

i had an asus rog a few years ago. it ended up slowing down so bad it was basically unusable. like not even a graphics problem. it was struggling just to load up anything. and of course was after the warranty expired. so i think they might just not build those laptops to last and just going with the apple model of letting it go to crap and force people to upgrade.

have you had to replace the battery on it? i had 2 batteries completely die on it to the point that i had to leave it permanently charging. if it came off the charger for even a split second it would turn off. was so freaking annoying replacing the battery. was like doing surgery on the damn thing. so personally i'd look at getting a new laptop first. preferably from somewhere you could return it if need be. then once you get it and backup your old laptop then try to clean it and put on new thermal paste and see if that helps. if it does then keep your old laptop. and worse case if it doesn't or you find it to be too much of a pain to take apart(which it is if it's like mine was) than you can just say screw it and throw it out. just take the hard drive out or factory reset it first.
