I think what you really need is no close friends/family. Might take you a while to adjust to your new dismal existence that's fueled solely by spite, but I am getting jacked and spending 8 hours on duolingo/youtube tutorials regularly. I remember when I did have close family, I spent nearly every day with them having a good time and enjoying life. Hardly any time for self improvement.
