| Topic | The basement theme is the ONLY bad song in Resi1 Directors Cut DualShock edition |
| discodancer77 11/03/24 4:47:59 PM #1: | 80/80 Not an huge fan of the theme for the caves either, but seriously, having now played it, I hate that its a running joke for YouTubers to play the basement theme as proof of how terrible the DualShock edition is. Its actually really good, and has some standout Resi tracks that have never seen the light of day! The balcony where you find Forrest is amazing, the jumpscare music when the dogs break the window is great, the theme in the area at the top of the mansion (accessible by the elevator late game, where you find the Battery) is amazing, and the west wing 2nd floor (the stairs above the west wing safe room) is all great. Seriously. Forget those YouTubers who probably havent even touched this version. Its a great change of pace for a replay of the game. I also played on Arrange Mode for the first time, it was a cool experience with some mix ups, but I wouldve liked things to be even MORE mixed up. Progression took place in pretty much the same sequence, and Id say ~75% of key items were still in their original spots. The few new mix ups were good, though. TL:DR dont listen to the homogenized views of YouTubers who just copy each others opinions, try out the DualShock version of Resident Evil 1, with its inferior soundtrack. I still prefer the original, but some of these tracks really deserve more recognition. --- Patient Gamer ... Copied to Clipboard! |
