Yeah I was gonna say. Considering how short a phone life even is, that's no where near a reasonable concern.

Most people that have a phone longer than 5 years are rare, and the button absolutely is not wearing out after 5 meager years. My samsung S5 actually still works; the lack of software support making the OS slow and slight battery degradation is way more of an issue than the button which is the only thing that works perfect.
I had an S5 untill just 2 years ago as well. Funny enough, for what broke was the USB socket for the charger. Had the thing for 7 or 8 years.

Since then, I'm on my second phone, Although I dropped the first one, so I guess it's my own fault.

Old school Nokia phones though, you could throw those across the room and you wouldn't even scratch it.
