I never had much of a problem with sweets but for me it was salty, savory stuff like chips and hotpockets. Cutting them out completely made me crave them more but what helped me was having two days a week where I allowed myself to eat a certain amount of them and eating less calories during the other days to compensate (basically calorie cycling). So instead of eating 1800 calories every day, I currently eat ~1600 calories on the diet days and ~2200-2300 calories on the break days.
