The Republicans long term prospects are very bad with Arizona and Georgia trending the way they are, and a host of former swing or even red states now solid blue. Arizona and Georgia are trending towards the Democrats long-term, but Nevada/Wisconsin/Pennsylvania are doing the opposite. This is actually a good trade for the GOP; the latter group has more Electoral College votes and Senate seats. The maps look pretty good for the GOP going forward, and all five of those states currently lean slightly red. The only reason it seems like they might need to win new states is because Trump is so unpopular that even a favorable map might not be enough to save them. --- Congrats to 2020 GotD Guru champ azuarc! ...
