I actually did a rewatch last year and I had some very different reactions to how I viewed the show from my initial watch.

When I first watched thru (and with some spotty rewatches here and there), my rankings from best to worst were:
S5>S1>S3>S2>S4>Live Another Day>S7>Redemption>S6>S8.

After last year's rewatch:
S7>Live Another Day>S3>S8>S1>Redemption>S4>S2>S5>S6.

Season 5 is still the best overall, but when you know all the twists and turns, it doesn't resonate the same way as when you first watch it. But I forgot how good S7 was. It was very well acted along with being very emotional for Jack & Renee was an excellent addition. S8 was also very emotional, especially with the midseason finale death, which was horrific on top of heavily weighted. And Live Another Day was really good as I only saw it once when it initially aired. By then, Jack's humanity for others not named Chloe & Audrey had all but dried up and made for a short-but-wild ride.
