just cus I've been on 4 dates with a girl doesn't necessarily mean we're in an exclusive relationship, I could be going on dates with other girls and she could date other people too. if the two of us at one point say "ok, I want an exclusive relationship with you" and still go on dates, then I don't think that's considered single anymore. like, I consider myself single, even though I've gone on 4 dates with the same girl recently (within a month we've been on 4 dates). I'm not gonna jump in and say she's my girlfriend because that hasn't even been talked about yet. I'd probably get a little jealous if she went out with another guy, but I wouldn't think "omg she's cheating" because neither of us has told the other "I want you to be my boyfriend/girlfriend and be exclusive" --- ? ...
