Boy Scouts is a religious organization. Most troops are sponsored by and meet at a church. There's references to God in the oath and laws you recite at the beginning of each meeting plus a prayer as well. I had my meetings in both an elementary school gym and a volunteer fire dept. I'm an eagle scout and was a summer camp counselor for 5 years. The BSA has backpedaled to allow "god" to mean "any sort of higher power".
