Yeah Drakes last album that I consider good back to front is probably If youre reading this its too late, which was 2015. Every album hes made after More Life I just straight up dislike.

I do think its silly that people pretend Drake has never made good music though. Drakes songs, even at his his best, arent often the deepest, but theres some real quality there and you can play it and enjoy it with friends.

Kendricks music is obviously much deeper and introspective of a lot of the time, but im also not necessarily gonna be bumping a lot of TPAB or Mr Morale songs in the car with my friends to have fun with it.

I think theres a place for both of them in hiphop.

My main issue with Drake is he always felt inauthentic to me. I don't mind him making dance and club hits and shit, but I don't need him to be rapping about his "goons" or whatever. I give Cole a lot of respect because even though he's street-adjacent, he never tries to present the image that he's a gangster

His subject matter also seems extremely limited and I feel like he's been rapping about the same shit since he started. At some point, it just gets repetitive.
