I was never going to change your mind. My post is there to highlight the stupidity of "it's not hard" as an argument and your continued refusal to do something easy that you simply don't want to do perfectly highlights why it's a bad argument.

Is it stupid though? Did people lose their shit over Sea of Thieves needing a Microsoft account? Did people lose their shit over Square Enix account being needed for FFXIV? EA account for their games? WB account for their games? Ubisoft account for their games?

This is something that is industry wide at this point, the time to complain about it was about a decade ago when a concerted outrage and actual following through on the outrage would have actually been able to change things.

At this point? Nothing is going to change, Sony already knows that the people upset right now are going to be good little gamers and make their Sony account if they don't already have one and will link it and then keep playing. The number of people who will actually quit the game over this is pretty tiny. It's all just a pointless outrage over a minor annoyance.
