Oh they get heard, but breaking into buildings to shut down colleges to demand said colleges break ties with Jewish pepole, while not quite reaching a Kristallnacht level yet, having so many fanatically demanding Jewish ties be broken is starting to leave a very hostile impression .

When many of the ones doing the breaking are professional outside agitators and we get news like" Some protesters at Columbia, including inside Hamilton Hall, are professional outside agitators, NYPD Commissioner Edward Caban said in a news conference Tuesday.
He joined other New York City officials in emphasizing that people who are not affiliated with the university were involved in escalating the protests Tuesday.
Rebecca Weiner, deputy commissioner for the NYPDs counterterrorism bureau, said Columbia students were being influenced to change protest tactics by people who have been known to police for many years for their dangerous, disruptive and, at times, criminal activity associated with protests. Officials did not specify how many protesters were unaffiliated with Columbia, but they said university officials reported people who were not part of the campus community, some of whom police had known before.
Weiner also showed photos and videos from Tuesdays protests, including from the takeover of Hamilton Hall. One video showed two students attempting to prevent the takeover before they were intimidated by others, Weiner said. In a photo, she said people not affiliated with the school were giving training sessions to protesters in an encampment.
Some of the protesters actions, such as making barricades with furniture and destroying cameras, created real cause for concern, Weiner said, adding that officials anticipate similar actions elsewhere.
We do expect it to continue beyond one building on one campus, but to other protests, to other universities, potentially to other cities, she said.

as seen in this link, https://www.washingtonpost.com/education/2024/04/30/columbia-university-protests-palestine-news/ it does get very hard to not see this as going in very ominous directions.

The point is there are a lot of pepole that still are not really paying attention that much, but they remembered that Israel " Had its own 9 11" and think Israel has the right to hurt the enemy as hard as we hurt the ones that hurt us, and all they see is pepole breaking into campuses to demand ties with Israel be severed and just see them as deranged pepole to not listen to, and will make it harder to see the end of the fighting in Gaza.
