They both fall under the umbrella of "national security", except the right wing extremism running rampant on social media directly benefits roughly half of our government, so nothing gets done about it. That's the difference. You're being taken for a ride if you think what they choose to go after isn't strictly politically motivated. Dirty bombs abroad and domestic weapon laundering both fall under weapons issues, but they're still separate things. They are things to be handled in different manners.
