I don't think its in their plan to buy all three known gaming websights just to kill them. Gamespot has been dead for about 11 years now and the sad part is they did it to themselves. They removed unions which were basically user created board, removed avatars, removed signatures, and changed forum layout. It caused a mass exodus.
