Not entirely correct. You can indeed take over subreddits if the mod is inactive, but thats not what happened. I was pretty inactive, which allowed the usual suspects to turn the place into a foundation for harassment, so I just said fuck it and dipped out.

You cant de-mod yourself unless there is another mod to take over, so I freely gave it to Tails. It was basically his Reddit at that point anyhow. So I didnt try to fight it, I just wanted to rid my hands of it.

I came back later after I started seeing the heinous shit they were doing because I felt responsible. Tails modded me, but never demodded himself even though he had offered. I tried to clean it up but boy it was tough.

Originally I was just deleting topics but not comments, but then all the comments started getting rightfully marked, and I eventually dedicated some time into really cleaning it up. Including banning some folks, adding new mods, and instituting a strict rule set that basically made it a violation to harass or insult people.

It wasnt him. It was someone else whose name I dont care to utter. But they made that terrible place because they were using my subreddit as a foundation for their harassment campaigns, and when I took that away from them, they became salty.

That terrible place they created only existed to harm people. That was its only goal.

Stero regained access recently and closed it down.

Once I got the place fully cleaned up, I was looking to pawn it off again because I didnt want it, but I refused to give it to Taiks for obvious reasons.

Tails decided he didnt like the direction the subreddit took, so based on a technicality where he was technically the more senior moderator, Tails de-modded me, my alt, & CassieCage. He also took away all of Slayers mod powers making him unable to actually do anything but still on the mod list.

He returned it to me the other day citing that they won which I guess meant they didnt need it anymore. So I shut it down by setting it to private, which is what I should have done in the first place.
