Topic	Reddit upvote system just doesn't make sense to me.

You decide to start a discussion on this beloved dessert, only to find your straightforward post about Pie hit with an overwhelming number of downvotes. Its a simple, unassuming post about Pie nothing controversial, just plain Pie talk. What are your thoughts on that voting system? EDIT: Also I really like the idea of the name Pie Talk.
