I've been coming here for a long time. As annoying as people can be here, it's much less cringey and abusive than what I've seen on Twitter, Reddit, etc, it's easier to have actual conversations, and the culture was just better. I learned a lot here.

But it seems like this is basically the end and it's about time to move on from GameFaqs as a whole. The only reason I come here for gaming related stuff is for PS1-3 era RPG walkthroughs when I don't want to just copy a visual guide.

Corporate control of community spaces is antithetical to free and meaningful conversations. The profit motive incentives businesses to disregard the actual needs and desires of users in favor of sanitized, soulless, ad friendly "content." It's disgusting and it's destroyed a unique and useful space.
