What you still don't seem to understand 8 years later is that the Democrats never had these voters. These were voters who were sick of politics as usual, who hated both typical Democrats and Republicans and who only got involved in politics in that election because they thought something different might be on the table. They were not traditional "leftist" voters, the far far far more relevant factor for them was newness and a "fuck the system" vibe. These were not voters that were ever going to vote for Hillary, the most likely outcome was not voting at all, followed by voting for Trump.

There's no evidence that there's any similar movement now because this isn't that type of election. Trump is not considered a wild card anymore, he's a known, terrible quantity. And Biden isn't nearly as hated as Hillary, even if he's not as popular as he was in 2020.
