We already know their type isn't above lying under oath, so how can you control for that?

Trump supporters were members of the juries that found him liable in both Carroll and his fraud case. The evidence was overwhelming and it's shown that people will often put politics aside to take the role of juror respectably.

Of course a criminal trial holds far greater consequences for Trump than civil cases and there will always be people who exist that would put politics before duty, just saying so far merely being a Trumper as a juror hasn't helped Trump yet.

I believer there were also Trumpers on the jury that criminally convicted Manafort.
