Topic	Sonic Adventure 1 and 2 used to be considered masterpieces. What happened?

I distinctly remember being out of the Sonic loop, then all of a sudden everyone was talking about Adventure 2 like it was a new pokemon game. There was legit dozens of kids all talking about Adventure 2 and it's Chao garden Was wild tbh People still love it, but personally I think Adventure 2 is only 1/3 of a good game.
