I pointed it out because your implication that Iran was fairly retaliating from an unprovoked attack.

I didn't imply that at all, you're inserting that reading yourself. States tend to retaliate against attacks, whether those attacks are justified or not, in order to save face, preserve sovereignty, deter further attacks etc. I said the retaliation is to be expected, not that it's moral or justified. As I pointed out, I called the Iranian state evil beforehand. And I said that people are happy because Israel is being treated as other countries would when they're glaringly typically treated as above meaningful reproach otherwise. None of that means or implies that Iran is some innocent victim that was attacked out of the blue.
