I remember in Knocked Up where the guys spent the majority of the movie cataloging nude scenes in movies for a website they were building, and the whole time I was thinking "But that's already a thing!" and then that exact thing became a plot point in the movie where they found out it existed and actually plugged the real website lol

i almost wonder if the writers learned that halfway through the script and then just rolled with it
