all y'all liberty bell voters better be able to tell me why we care about it

"it has a crack!" is not a valid answer

In the 1700s, it was originally used as a way to alert people to go to town meetings. So it was an important symbol of community unity. Later on, it came to be known as a symbol for freedom and equal rights. Campaigns to abolish slavery, give equal rights to black people, and suffrage to women all featured the bell as a symbol of freedom. Pretty important Id say.
