Very much working class and things got tight in the early to mid 80s when the economy was real shit and my dad was laid off from his good John Deere factory job but we always scraped by. I didnt have much but I was always fed and clothed. My dad busted his ass for peanuts. Like driving truck and having to manually unload entire semi loads of 50lb bags of feed at farms by hand. But he always kept up going until he got called back to John Deere in 1990. Then things turned around a lot for him.
