I saw "character revealed to have x identity and Discourse surrounding it" and my mind made a connection to a somewhat related issue. The discourse was literally just conservative backlash. The actor himself was very accepting of the role and of other lgbt relationships on the show. Youre just pretending you didnt knowingly respond to conservative outrage with a you dont have to publicly announce your sexuality post.
