I think context always matters. Like if youre purposefully living with elderly or disabled relatives to help watch over them and take care of them that is completely different than someone who decided to never leave home and just mooches off their parents.

There are always situations that can arise out of nowhere and cause a setback. A sudden loss of your job, a sudden divorce and you have no where to go. These are much different situations than never leaving the nest.

Some people cant leave home though because of a disability or whatever. It happens. Many people have many different circumstances.

Your situation is your business but I just hope your feelings about your situation arent being influenced by others. If its simply how you feel about your situation then maybe you can work on either why you feel that way or change the circumstances of why you feel that way.
I did this (and also care gave for others that I wasn't kin to) for a decade and you can absolutely get paid decent money for it
