Like you could bring home made treats on your birthday and they didnt have to be sealed individual purchased store treats with a list of ingredients. You could still bring anything peanut related to school. Kids literally had hunting rifles in their vehicles to use on their way home from school. Our school had a smoking square for students to enjoy a smoke break. Things were just different back when I was growing up. It was the Wild West compared to modern day.
