If it makes you feel any better, I gave up on Dread's final boss and didn't beat the game, despite getting 100% items. Fuck timed parries, they're one of my most hated gaming mechanics (ended up ruining Cuphead for me as well, could never beat King Dice as a result). Yeah shit like this makes me really appreciate save states lol. Like, I get it, you shouldnt abuse them, but after a while when you have to something over and over and over and over and over and over and over again, the time starts to really add up and like I got other shit I gotta do too Ive made it to his third phase a few times but by that point my health is so low I get one-hit KOd anyway. Had the same issue with the boss battles on intense difficult in Smash Bros. Brawl. Like, getting through all the boss fights is difficult enough, but then you get to Tabuu who can one-hit KO you and its like thanks for wasting my time.
