It makes a horrible first impression, but it gets a lot better. Same with Clarence. Was that the "dark age"? I just remember Flapjack, Chowder, Adventure Time and Regular Show coming from roughly the same time period. Like everything Cartoon Network after 2007 is the aftermath of the golden age, so I tend to lump them in kinda together. Like around the time I started watching CN less and less, and started losing interest in cartoons in general. The dark age seemed like a brief second in 2008 where they started pushing a bunch of crappy live-action reality TV shit and then quickly backpedaled when the network found out it wasn't popular. And there was this goofy ass movie/show about some kid who got a brain transplant that gave him powers to see cartoon characters IRL, for whatever reason.
