Topic	Beyonce did a cover of Jolene and it's even worse than you think it is.

Not a single fucking person I've ever known in my life has ever said "GHIFF", and any sane person (including the creator of the format himself) defaults to "jif" for a reason. Because the alternative sounds fucking stupid. Null_Gain posted... Having never heard the original, Beyonce's version is pretty ok, if not for a little unintentional hilarity with the lyrics. The guitar and beat part of the song is solid. I tend to not like county to begin with so maybe Beyonce's version not sounding like the original is a plus for me. Yeah I agree with this and another guy ITT who brought up a similar point. I'll also note that I don't know and don't care enough to know about the lore of Beyonce's relationship drama with Jay-Z or how any of that adds context to the song here. I'm just basing my opinion on her performance of the song itself, and it sounds fine.
