XFD The thought didn't even cross my mind. I guess I'm a bit more of a Japanophile than I ever realized.
"So I'm at the local Subway and the guy hands me my Spicy Italian except when I sit down and chomp down, the salami tastes ancient and the lettuce is a lot browner than it looked from my side of the glass. The mayonnaise is rancid and the bread is hard as a rock but I asked for not-toasted. I immediately burst into a fit of laughter and all my fellow clientele did the same. We couldn't stop laughing and it was good."
